I
have a BA in music from Hampshire College and a
certificate in violin from the New England Conservatory
of Music. I opened my studio in 1986. I teach: Violin,
viola, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, tenor banjo; celtic,
bluegrass, klezmer, rock, jazz, folk, swing, world beat;
children, teenagers, adults, elderly; beginners,
intermediates, advanced, professionals
I teach anyone. I have taught music to a lot of
interesting people over the years. A 90 year old woman
who wanted to play fiddle in the Young At Heart Chorus,
a blind man who wanted to learn mandolin, a deaf woman
who studied classical violin and wanted to learn
fiddling, a five string banjo player who wanted to learn
how to play tenor banjo on her 5 string, a violist who
wanted to learn five string fiddle styling, and so much
more.
